10 Months!

Creeden turned 10 Months old today!

We had a great 1st Thanksgiving with our little turkey!

We just got his 9 month pictures back. You can see the album HERE. They are so precious!

He finally broke through his first tooth (bottom). He is in the process of breaking a few more. He has been pretty cranky in pain lately. It breaks our heart.

He finally decided crawling wouldn't be so bad. He still likes to crawl to something that he can pull up on so that he can be on his feet. We knew he was on the verge so we started recoding each time he tried so that we could catch the first time. We got it! Here is the first time Creeden crawled:


He has gotten so much faster in just a week. We can hardly keep up with him! Here is a video from today which is just about a week later:

He has gotten so funny and can really interact with us. Here is a video of him playing Peek A Boo with Daddy:

We are having a blast with our little man. Everyday is something new! 

6-9 Months!

I have not kept up with this blog well. I do refer to it though a lot so I want to keep it up!

Lots has changed in the past 3 months! It seems he changes daily.
First his stats: at his 9 month checkup he weighed 21lbs (50 percentile) and is 29 1/4 inches long (75 percentile).

Creeden still isn't crawling or walking, but is close. He has not been too interested in crawling, he wants to be on his feet! The past few days though, he has taken a little interest in crawling. He can go backwards, which frustrates him a lot!
We have been working on learning sign language. He can sign 'more' and pat his leg for dog. He knows when I sign bottle what it means, but he has not done it yet.
He has gotten better with sleep since my last post when he was 6 months old. He goes to bed at 8 very routinely. We do a bath, book and bottle every night. Some nights he will sleep until 6am, take a bottle, and go right back to sleep until we wake him up for school at 7. Most nights though he will wake up a few times wanting to make sure we are still there. We are working on breaking him of this. It is so hard to let him 'cry it out' when we have been away from him all day. We just want to snuggle him too! :)
He has a head full of hair and it can get crazy! He has the worst bedhead of any baby I have seen! He is so hot natured that he sweats a lot at night which makes his hair go every which way.
He is to the age now that you feel like you can communicate and play with him. He understands a lot and is already pretty ornery.
He eats like crazy and can have table food as long as it is gummed easily (still no teeth!).
His first word was 'momma' (yes, I worked with him like crazy for that!) and a very close second with 'Dada." He has added "nana' to that now as well. He is a chatterbox already! I love his little voice!

It has been a busy but fun past few months. It is time to start planning his first birthday, which makes me so sad. He brings us so much joy, and we are so very thankful that God gave us Creeden!

6 Months!

Can you believe he is 6 months old already? Time is FLYING!
We went to the doctor today for his 6 month check-up and shots :( He weighs 18lbs even and is 26.5 inches long. Both of those are right at the 50 percentile.

A little about this precious boy:

He can sit up on his own

He LOVES eating solid food. The only 2 things we have found he won't eat are peas and peaches.

He still loves his bath and would spend hours in it if you let him

He refuses to roll from his belly to his back. He has done it twice so we know he can - he just won't!

He does not like to take naps. He doesn't want to miss anything!

He is only taking his paci when he goes to sleep now.

He can jump so hard in his jumparoo that it moves!

He loves being outside

He now has a big boy carseat (still rear -facing of course)

He loves to snuggle!

He has gotten such a fun personality. We cannot wait until he starts talking so we know what he is thinking (even though we are a little scared of that!). We have started trying to teach him sign language. We are just doing basic words of things that we use (bottle, eat, more, sleep, dog, mommy, daddy...) so that we can start communicating. He watches us do it, but he still hasn't started. Once he has these words down we will expand to things like pain, hot, cold etc. so that he can tell us what is going on in his sweet little head.

We really do not know what we did with our time before him. We for sure slept a lot more, but he is so much more fun than sleep!

Creeden's 1st 4th of July

Creeden had fun on his first 4th of July. We got to spend time with family and have fun shooting some fireworks. Creeden was not scared of the noise at all! He loved the lights! We let him help with a few sparklers and he was amazed.

5 Months

Creeden is 5 Months old today!

Meeting Dr. Craig and our Nurses

This is a very special post. This weekend we got to go back to the OU fertility clinic and introduce our sweet Creeden to them. It was so wonderful to get to see them and such a joy to get to have our baby as we entered that office. We lived there it felt like for so long and that place has always been an intimidating place to me. I would always get really nervous before we went in wondering what would happen at each appointment. Lots of disappointing news happened there but also this is the first place we heard Creeden's heartbeat and saw him on the monitor. These are without a doubt the sweetest people in the world and even though it took going through this hard journey - we are so grateful to have met them!

This first picture is of our 3 nurses and Dr. Craig. It starts with Amber on the left (Who is now pregnant) then Michelle, then Dr. Craig holding Creeden (Who is being silly!) and then our sweet nurse Connie. We love them all but developed a really close relationship with Connie. I still text her to this day!

This is another picture of them all but I am in it as well. They were sporting their office Thunder gear that day.

These ladies are a big part of Creeden's sweet life and we love them so much. These people spend their days working with people who are very emotional trying to have a baby after a long road and they do a wonderful job of connecting and genuinely caring. What a ministry they have had in our life!

This next one is of him in his swing that is in my parent's backyard. My dad made him a set so that we could hook a swing on it and he LOVES it!


Creeden really showed off this weekend with how many times he was rolling over! In this video he even showed us how he can hold onto his foot and roll!


This last one is my favorite! This is his sweet sweet laugh that has taken us so long to catch on camera. He stops as soon as we get it out! (My ratty clothes and hair are because we had just woke up!)




We are so blessed to have him in our lives! He is the definition of amazing!

4 Months!

Creeden turned 4 Months on May 24th but we just got to the doctor yesterday. He weighs 14lbs (25 percentile) and is 25 1/2 inches long (70 percentile). She thinks he was going through a growth spurt the first few months and now is evening out. She predicts he will be tall and skinny.
She moved him back to his old formula to try it out and see if it will work now. We go back in 3 weeks to do a weight check and make sure he is gaining weight on it. We started it last night so he has been on it 24 hours and hardly spit up at all. So we are very excited and think it may work this time without being on the expensive stinky stuff!
We also get to start giving him food. She said to start with rice and do it for 4 days and then try a green food for 4 days then and orange food for 4 days and then fruit for 4 days. So the next little while we will be trying lots of new stuff. We also get to give him water and a tad bit of juice as long as we dilute it well.  We are so excited to start this new stage but cannot believe he is this big!

Facts about him at 4 month:

He has been sleeping very well. He sleeps about 6-7 hours a night most of the time. He stirs a lot so I wake up with him, but doesn't eat in the middle of the night anymore.

He can roll over from his back to his belly!

He LOVES to give kisses and pull your hair!

He loves being outside and loves to swing.

He can sit up in his bumpo chair as long as he wants now.

He can grab objects in front of him - he is very coordinated!

Just in the past 2 days he has started reaching for us. I love it!

He is very smiley! When he wakes up he is all smiles or when he sees us he is all smiles. 

He likes to be on his feet. He does not want to just lay down anymore - he can stand as long as you let him while holding his hands.

Mother's Day & 3 Month Pictures

I got to experience my very first Mothers day this week. It was such a special day. I never knew if I would have this day as a Mother, but I am so grateful that I got that gift. Creeden, with the help of daddy, did a great job of making me feel special! I am so blessed to have my boys! A year ago tomorrow (May 16th) is when we found out that I was pregnant. It was a day we will never forget that was full of excitement, fear and lots of tears! I am so blessed to have my sweet boy here safe and sound sleeping next to me as I type.

A lot of you guys are on Facebook so you have seen his 3 month pictures, but for those of you who aren't I wanted to post them! You can click HERE to see a slideshow of his pictures. Three months was a very hard age to get good ones because he cannot sit up and would not smile for us! They are so precious though! I cannot believe on the 24th he will be 4 months! We go for his well baby check up on the 30th so I will post his stats after that!

3 Months!

Today our baby is 3 months old! I cannot believe how fast time is flying by!

Creeden has had a hard few weeks. We took him to the doctor a few weeks ago and he had stopped gaining weight from so much spit up and had a double ear infection! They had to flush his ears out  (which was horrible!!!) and we started antibiotic for his ears. We then had to start an acid reflux medicine and change to a new formula (a step higher than soy) to help with his spit up to try to help his little tummy. We went back yesterday and he had started gaining again (at 13lb 8oz) and his ear infection was looking good! He still spits up A LOT but it isn't curled milk anymore and he is gaining weight so that is good! We are going to stay on this new formula until his 4 month appt and then possibly try to wing him off of it and back onto his other kind.

He has almost overnight become a happy baby! He now sleeps 6-7 hours a night and has not had anymore long crying spells! We think we are over the colic stage! He just smiles and seems so happy now! This new formula must be the ticket and now his little belly feels so much better!
